Our skilled ventilation system designers are incredibly experienced when it comes to engineering solutions for businesses of all types and across a wide variety of differing buildings styles. Ventilation can be broken down into the following categories:
Natural or passive ventilation relies on ambient wind pressure to pull or draw air from the outside into your building. This can be via windows, doors, or custom-made apertures.
Mechanical ventilation systems use electrically operated fan assemblies to push and pull air through a building. This can be via a basic fan assembly and filter box, or an air handling unit (AHU) incorporating high levels of filtration, in conjunction with heating coils whether these be electric or low temperature hot water (LTHW) served via a boiler.
Hybrid ventilation works by using a combination of natural and mechanical ventilation. This option is often used when upgrading or refurbishing an existing system.
Heat recovery ventilation (HRV) differs from a traditional mechanical system design by recovering lost heat energy from the extracted outbound air and using it to heat inbound fresh air. HRV offers great environmental, energy efficiency and cost saving benefits and is the modern way of doing things.
