Air Options were approached by a Promotions and Events Company who had recently moved into a listed building which required a full refurbishment.
After being in the building a few months it became apparent that the heat in the building was getting too much and they hadn’t even reached summer.
The main reason for this was the amount of heat generating electrical equipment in their basement ‘show & exhibition room’. All the heat would rise up through the floor from the basement into their ground floor offices and they had no way of cooling things down.
As the building was listed it created some difficulty as to where and how the units could be installed; we attended several meetings with the landlords representative and architects to discuss several locations for the external units finally agreeing on the bin stores being the perfect location.
The system works very well and they are very happy with the outcome, they have even recommended us to other people and projects.
