Air Options was appointed to undertake the supply and installation of a high grade multi-storey office refurbishment, located in central London.
The installation comprised the supply and installation of multiple Samsung DVM ceiling concealed ducted type units recessed into ceiling bulkheads, designed to be as compact and discrete as possible. These connected to linear type diffusers mounted within the bulkheads positioned / aligned to optimise airflow as well as co-ordinate with the lighting layout.
The Samsung DVM package comprised 2x roof level Heat Recovery (HR) outdoor units working alongside a Heat Recovery Ventilation (HRV) roof mounted air handling unit. All plant was installed at roof level, requiring road closure / contract crane lift
All internal ductwork was installed by Air Options, with the primary AHU feeds running down the building to secondary brach ducts which terminated towards the rear of the indoor FCU’s. this allowed the indoor FCU to supply a mixture of recirculated and fresh air to the office spaces, controlled via local hard wired room sensing controllers.
A separate dedicated package was supplied and installed to offer local extraction from the Toilets, this was independent from the main building fresh air to allow for alternative operation time schedules as well as ensuring no possibility airflow mixing with fresh air packages.
As part of the installation we undertook the supply and installation of Samsung’s DMS building management control package to offer flexible / enhanced control options.
Once installed the systems where all commissioned by Air Options including balancing of fresh air and ongoing preventative maintenance for the first year of operation.
A key requirement was the installation being undertaken by an approved Samsung Installer, which we are proud to be having completed various manufacturer training courses as well as completed several Samsung installations historically.
